CAMELTARY (Camel Commentary)
The Grade-A Service For Students.
The greatest tragedy in this lifetime is if we were to stop learning. Entrepreneurs are naturally inquisitive – they seek information and enjoy solving problems. Today, there lies a device in our pockets containing more power than the first rocket that sent a man to the moon. We have access to a lot of information – we can always learn.
“It’s something I wish I had when I was in high school in the 90s,” says Aryeh Eisenberg, Founder of Edu-Together. “If my teachers at school knew I have now become a teacher, they wouldn’t believe it.”
Edu-Together provides schools with online and live classes for students in the 6th-12th grades. A self-confessed underachiever at school, Eisenberg says that something needed to change to accommodate the budget and staff limitations that face schools around the world. Now entering its fifth academic year, Edu-Together has 30 teachers that teach young people about math, science, and religion.
“The best way of reaching a child is understanding that when you have passion and desire, it doesn’t matter what you are doing.” Where have we heard this mantra before? It turns out many young people face the same crises that entrepreneurs battle every day. Self-doubt, perseverance, finding passion – it is an inherently unifying emotion.
Of course, the battles along the way exceed that of just passing exams. Having trained in education and not business, Eisenberg realised he would need some help. He praises the opportunities he had for trial and error, and the significance of learning how to delegate work. Within the team he has built, the priority of Edu-Together is to provide a 100% quality service – allowing the benefitters to do the PR for him.
What are the requirements needed from investors? “Anyone who funds must have a passion and care for education.” That’s what it’s all about.
